The series Going Slowly reflects the condition of ambiguity of photography. The shots of Stefano Giogli hounds the observer with an insistent question: what about the human figure? Has he just left the scene or is he about to make its entrance? Images are open to this double possibility, crystallizing a moment suspended between evanescence and appearance, in which the relationship between landscape and architecture, light and shadow, creates unexpected formal correspondences which the author captures by slowing down his gaze.
